Alle Sichtungsmaßnahmen werden pädagogisch von Fachpersonal und sportfachlich von Funktionstrainern des Deutschen Fechter-Bundes durchgeführt. Hierbei liegt nicht das Interesse, junge Fechterinnen und Fechter, die oftmals die Leistungsträger in ihrer Region sind, von ihren Heimatvereinen abzuwerben. Vielmehr liegt der Wert darauf, möglichst dauerhaft die Startberechtigungen für die Heimatvereine zu erhalten, um somit die Identifikation zum Fechtsport im bisherigen sozialen Umfeld nicht zu verlieren. Die Heimtrainer sind dabei herzlich eingeladen, den Sichtungsmaßnahmen beizuwohnen und mit den Verantwortlichen der Internate strategische Zielsetzungen gemeinsam auszuarbeiten.
Die Internate sind vereinsunabhängig und handeln im Sinne des Deutschen Fechter-Bundes. Unser gemeinsames Ziel liegt darin, perspektivreichen Nachwuchstalenten beste Rahmenbedingungen zu bieten, um leistungssportliche Erfordernisse und Zielsetzungen mit einer hervorragenden Schulausbildung zu verknüpfen.
